COMMUNITY TRAINING
STOP THE BLEED®
The Millburn-Short Hills Volunteer First Aid Squad is proud to offer Stop the Bleed classes exclusively for Millburn-Short Hills residents over the age of 18.
These hands-on sessions teach practical, life-saving skills to control severe bleeding in the critical moments before professional help arrives. No medical background is required.
A $20 registration fee is required for the Stop the Bleed class. Registration fees help offset the cost of training supplies and support the delivery of high-quality, hands-on instruction.
The Squad is a U.S. Department of Defense-certified Stop the Bleed training center, and all instruction follows nationally recognized standards used by emergency responders nationwide.
All instructors – and every member of MSHVFAS – are dedicated volunteers. As a nonprofit, we rely entirely on private donations and do not charge for our 911 emergency services. Any additional tax-deductible contributions are greatly appreciated and help us continue offering life-saving training and care to our community.
Additionally, Adult CPR/AED classes are held before each Stop the Bleed course from 9 am-11 am. Sign up for CPR classes here.
