Upcoming EMT Training
We hold EMT classes at our building in the Fall & Spring through a partnership with Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health.
EMT training classes provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The course is intended to prepare the students to manage medical or trauma emergencies at the state approved basic provider level. After successful completion of one of the state approved programs, students are eligible to sit for the NREMT. There are multiple options for the course to suit learning styles and schedules, ranging from traditional class room settings to hybrid online and in person classes. The course material will typically be presented through lectures, hands on learning, and actual clinical observations.
Millburn-Short Hills Volunteer First Aid Squad is dedicated to our new members and is willing to help you find the most appropriate course to fit your learning style and schedule. New volunteers will also benefit from having EMT instructors on the MSHVFAS squad who are enthusiastic about helping you succeed in your training and sharing studying techniques. Additionally, our volunteers will learn by shadowing our members, which helps reinforce the training class.
Classes held at the MSHVFAS building can be found through RWJBH’s website:
